Airport/Transportation

The nearest and most convenient airport is Venice Marco Polo Airport, around 50 Km from Padova, well connected to Padova by public or private transportation and conveniently linked with all major European airports. Other airports are: Treviso (60 km, mostly used by low-cost airline companies), Verona V.Catullo (90 Km) and Bologna G. Marconi (120 Km).

Collective transfer service: we can book a collective transfer service on your behalf (AirService) from Venice Marco Polo Airport or from Treviso Airport to your hotel and return. It is a shared taxi/minibus shuttle service which takes you directly to your hotel. Cost per person/per way € 37,00 (Venice Airport) - € 44,00 (Treviso Airport). You can book one way or round trip with a discount of € 4,00. You can pay by credit card or cash to the driver. In Venice Airport you will find the driver by the Arrivals Hall, on the right, holding a sign with AirService logo.

Regular bus service (BUSITALIA) connects Venice Airport to Padova. It takes about 60/70 minutes to reach Padova, depending on traffic. Bus leaves every hour at 40 past the hour. After June 6, the timetable may change, therefore we suggest you verify before your departure. The cost of a ticket is € 8,50 per person/per each way plus luggage. You can buy tickets in Venice Airport at the ATVO/ACTV Ticket Desk at the ground floor. Final stop in Padova: bus station is located nearby the railway station.

Private taxi service: a taxi costs around € 120,00/140,00 one way.

By car: Padova is linked by highways with Venezia – Milano (A4) and Rome/-Bologna (A13): follow the green highway (autostrade) signs. To reach the city center:

  • Coming from Venice take the Padova EST exit
  • Coming from Milano take the Padova OVEST exit
  • Coming from Rome/Bologna take the Padova SUD exit
