SIDM Fellowship in Diagnosis
The Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM) offers an annual fellowship for healthcare professionals with an interest in improving diagnostic safety and quality.
About the Fellowship Program
SIDM will match you with experienced mentors who are recognized leaders in the fields of diagnostic error education, research, or practice improvement.
A SIDM fellowship will supplement a primary fellowship. SIDM fellows will be connected with the leading researchers in diagnostic error who will provide guidance on suitable primary fellowships, mentor projects (on-site or remotely), help present findings at our Annual Meeting on Diagnostic Error in Medicine, and publish work in Diagnosis and other peer-reviewed journals. In this one-year mentoring program, we will help you:
Additionally, fellows will become SIDM members and they will attend the annual Diagnostic Error in Medicine Conference at no cost.
Who is eligible?
Physicians who have completed residency by June of 2018 (e.g., current senior residents, chief residents, fellows, or practicing physicians), or others holding or pursuing advanced degrees (Masters or PhD) with a dedicated career interest in diagnosis.
